About

Barbara Agricola, owner of Agricola Law, concentrates her practice in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury law, family law and criminal defense. Barbara was born and raised in Montgomery, where she attended LAMP High School, a nationally-ranked college preparatory school. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she was accepted into the school’s prestigious University Honors Program, which only accepts fifty students a year. Barbara graduated magna cum laude with University and Departmental honors, earning a major in Political Science and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Philosophy and Law, all within the span of three years.
After College at UAB, Barbara attended law school at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, where she received numerous awards for her trial advocacy skills, leadership skills and involvement in the law school. She was a member of the Order of the Barristers, the Bench & Bar legal honor society, and Law School Ambassadors, among others. Barbara also served as the Managing Editor of the Law & Psychology Review, where she also had a legal article published. As part of the school’s trial advocacy and moot court teams, she won first place at the National Trial Advocacy Competition in one year and in another year advanced to the quarter-final rounds in moot court competition.
After law school, Barbara completed several federal clerkships, including clerking for the Honorable William M. Acker, Jr. of the Northern District of Alabama, the Honorable Joel F. Dubina, then Chief Judge of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Honorable W. Keith Watkins, Chief Judge of the Middle District of Alabama. These experiences enable Barbara and the firm of Agricola Law to maintain a vibrant federal court practice with a high level of knowledge and skill. -
