I am an entrepreneur at heart and went to college to study business. While in college I began working at a law firm, where I discovered my passion for the law. While in law school, I focused my studies on business law, and wills, trusts and estates. I graduated from law school in May of 1996 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in September 1996.
My first job out of law school was working for a sole practitioner representing businesses in workers compensation cases. Soon thereafter I took a job with an international law firm managing a satellite office in Tampa, providing legal services to small and startup business, as well as handling wills, trusts, and estate planning matters for individuals. Wanting to provide my clients with more personalized service, I started my own practice at the beginning of 2002 providing affordable legal representation to small and startup businesses, as well as continuing to provide estate planning services.Over the past 21+ years I have represented several thousand small businesses handling a wide range of legal and business matters, as well as providing general counsel to my business clients to help them protect themselves, their businesses and their investments. During that time I have also manged, operated, and grown several businesses, as well as creating a profitable franchise model and franchise documents for a manufacturing company.  I have also been a SCORE certified business mentor since 2015.
I have extensive experience in the setup of business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, professional associations and non-profit corporations, the purchase and sale of businesses, the reviewing, drafting and negotiating of contracts, including franchise agreements, the filing of trademarks, the handling of employment matters, and the handling of business disputes that may result in lawsuits. My goal with all of my clients is to provide them with a thorough understanding of their issues and to help them make the best possible decisions. With my business clients, that means helping them make the best possible business decisions, to maximize profits and minimize losses.
