Kate Broussard is an associate attorney at MehaffyWeber in the firm’s business practice group with a concentration in estate planning and probate law, elder law, corporate law, real estate transactions, and oil and gas work.
Kate has maintained a lifelong commitment to community service and volunteerism, including participating in the Baylor Law School Public Service Program, completing over 200 hours of public service while in law school. Kate was especially involved in the Baylor Veteran’s Clinic and with the Baylor Pro Bono Transactional Team. For her work with veterans, she was awarded the Baylor Law School Veterans Clinic “Boots on the Ground” Award. During her time at Baylor, Kate was selected to serve as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Zack Hawthorn in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. She also won the Forth Worth Real Estate Council Award for her outstanding performance in the Texas Land Practice course at Baylor Law School and the Joe Cannon Professionalism Award for exemplifying a commitment to professionalism and integrity. As an attorney, Kate continues to volunteer through the Jefferson County Bar Association Pro Bono Program and Veteran’s Legal Clinic.
