Martin V Asatrian is Of Counsel to Javerbaum Wurgaft and chairs the firm’s Immigration Department
Mr. Asatrian brings nearly 12 years of experience in immigration litigation. He has a substantial track record in representing immigration clients in the areas of citizenship, adjustment of status, fiancé visa, violence against women, family petitions and other areas of family-based immigration applications and petitions.
Mr. Asatrian is a founding and managing partner of the Asatrian Law Group, where he successfully represented clients in defense of deportation, cancellation of removal applications, and various political asylum applications.
He was elected to the Englewood Cliffs Council where he served as the Police Commissioner. He was previously a named partner of the prestigious law firm of Weiner Lesniak, LLC and served as Of Counsel at the Sekas Law Group, LLC. Mr. Asatrian is an adjunct professor at William Paterson University, Essex County College, and Bergen Community College in the Political Science Departments. He is also in the process of publishing a book entitled “Only in America; Case for Immigration Law and Human Rights.”
He earned his college degree from New York University and his law degree from New York Law School. He has also obtained a certificate of International Law from Oxford University, United Kingdom. He is an active member of the community and was a former board member of the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief Society.
Mr. Asatrian is a proud member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active member of the ABA Standing Committee on National Security Law.
