MAYA JUMPER is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, and a member of the firm’s Class Action Practice Group.  Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Ms. Jumper clerked for the Honorable Damon J. Keith on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Honorable Deborah A. Robinson on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Honorable Eric T. Washington, former chief judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Ms. Jumper received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from American University Washington College of Law (WCL).
During law school, Ms. Jumper served as an intern for a congressional member of the House of Representatives, worked for a children’s rights law firm on matters involving federal special education litigation, and served as a policy intern at the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program. Ms. Jumper also worked as a student attorney in the Women and the Law Clinic at WCL and served as a research assistant to Nancy Polikoff conducting research on gender discrimination and family law matters.
Ms. Jumper is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
