Michael A. Santschi
Michael A. Santschi joined the law firm of Spesia & Ayers as an associate attorney in January of 2016. He graduated Valedictorian in his class from Ave Maria School of Law in May of 2015. Michael received his JD Summa Cum Laude and was also awarded the St. Thomas More award for achieving academic excellence.
In Law School, Michael was a member of the Law review, serving as an associate editor during the 2013-2014 school year, and then as Publication Manager on the Editorial Board thereof during the 2014-2015 year. Michael’s student note, “Illinois Murder Jurisprudence in the Absence of Capital Punishment,” was selected for publication in the Winter 2014 issue of the law review. Michael also participated in the Moot Court Board, attending both internal and external trial and appellate competitions.
During each of his second and third years in law school, Michael was also elected by his peers to serve on the Ave Maria School of Law Honor Board.  The Honor Board was tasked with preserving the School’s Honor Code and investigating any alleged violations of its ethical standards.
Prior to law school, Michael earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Ave Maria University. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2012.
Michael works with the firm’s civil and municipal litigation teams.
