In 2018, a car crashed into my fish market causing extensive damage to the building and business personal property. I tried to file a claim with the no-fault insurance company of the owner of the car, but never received a response from anyone. I then got in touch with Mr. Hamawi, who impressed me with his knowledge of the law and the litigation process. Mr. Hamawi filed a lawsuit on my business’s behalf, and fully recovered all damages to my business. Mr. Hamawi took the time to fully explain the process, including what to expect during the lawsuit. He was patient, professional, and detailed. He answered my questions, and promptly returned my phone calls and answered my emails. He fought for me and won my case. I will never hesitate to recommend him to any business suffering fire, property damage, or any other property damage.

What a great experience. After the insurance company denied my water-damage claim to my basement, I was referred to the law office of Rabih Hamawi, and they fought for my case. I lost hope and was going to give up until I found them. It was an easy and pleasant experience. After filing the complaint, the insurance company realized the weakness in their case, and they immediately wanted to settle and pay my claim. I highly recommend Mr. Hamawi and his firm.

Spend a minute with Rabih and you will soon realize that he is not like other "insurance guys". He takes the time to get to know you. I consider him a risk assessor, not a salesman. Rabih Hamawi has extensive expertise in insurance coverage. He holds licenses in Property, Casualty, Life, Accident, and Health insurance. He is a Licensed multiple lines Property and Casualty, Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Counselor (LIC). He earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®), Certified Insurance Consultant (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations. He previously served as managing principal for an insurance and financial services agency, where he managed two offices and built a multi-million-dollar book of business.
Mr. Hamawi interned for the Honorable John Corbett O’Meara, Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He also interned for the United States Department of Justice in the United States Attorney’s Office in Detroit. He earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, graduating magna cum laude.
Prior to attending law school, Hamawi earned a master’s degree in finance (MSF) with a concentration in financial planning from Walsh College in Troy, Mich., and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B, with high honors) from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Law and Political Science. Rabih is an adjunct professor teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Personal and Corporate Finance, Risk Management, and Insurance and Financial Planning at the University of Phoenix, Davenport University, and Southern New Hampshire University.
While in law school, Mr. Hamawi served on the Cooley Law Review Board of Editors as a Symposium Editor, where he received the Law Review Board Award for the most significant contributions to the Law Review during his tenure. He also served on the Moot Court and Mock Trial Executive Boards, and was a member of Cooley’s National Trial Team. Upon graduation, he received the Student Leadership Achievement Award for his outstanding participation in a leadership role during law school. He is bilingual and fluent in Arabic.
Mr. Hamawi is an active member of the Michigan Association of Justice and serves as a council member of the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He is also a board member of the ICLE New Lawyers Advisory Board.
