Ron is highly regarded as a tough and aggressive litigator in the areas of health law, professional licensing and criminal defense. He is dedicated to representing licensed health professionals during administrative hearings, criminal proceedings, and civil cases. As a former prosecutor, Ron also has a significant amount of experience dealing with state and federal agencies during high level criminal investigations, criminal trials and administrative proceedings.
With a focus toward defending licensed health professionals, Ron has consistently represented clients to their overwhelming satisfaction during criminal, licensing and other administrative matters such as DEA registration matters and Medicare and Medicaid exclusion and reinstatement proceedings. He has also achieved outstanding results representing health professionals in felony criminal matters for diversion, falsifying medical records, Medicare/Medicaid fraud and illegal delivery of narcotics. Ron has successfully assisted dozens of health professionals in preventing license suspension after convictions, fraud and professional misconduct.
Ron re-joined the Chapman Law Group after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. As a former public defender and prosecutor in the U.S. Marine Corps, he proved himself as a talented advocate and leader in and out of the courtroom. Ron served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps with eight honorable years of service achieving the rank of Captain. Ron prosecuted and defended both felony and misdemeanor cases on behalf of the U.S. Government ranging from violent offenses to narcotics and weapons trafficking. After a very successful tour as a prosecutor he was selected to deploy to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Ron served as the legal advisor to a Marine unit during combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Ron returned from Afghanistan and was selected to serve as the senior operational law advisor to an organization of over 30,000 members advising on issues ranging from high level narcotics investigations to impending national security issues and high level criminal and administrative investigations. Ron is a recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal.
Ron and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Carson and Reagan. In addition to practicing law, Ron is an avid marathoner and triathlete and competes competitively at local and regional events.
