Sean McDermott is a Colorado trial lawyer with a criminal defense and plaintiff civil litigation practice. His full-service criminal defense practice includes representation of individuals charged with misdemeanors and felonies ranging in seriousness. His experience includes DUIs, drug trafficking, fraud, homicide, and other violent crimes. His plaintiff civil litigation practice provides representation to clients who have been harmed by the negligence of others. He has experience successfully handling cases involving issues such as motor vehicle accidents and premises liability. He also provides representation to policyholders whose insurers have denied their claims in bad faith.  At the core of Sean’s legal practice is his belief that everyone criminally charged or involved in a personal injury matter should have a dedicated attorney who will protect their interests inside and outside of the courtroom. In both civil and criminal cases, his focus is always on helping each individual client achieve their case goals through a customized legal strategy.
Sean is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Colorado Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association. He has been a member of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar since 1998 and served as the organization’s President from 2013-2014.
