About

Mr. Robinson is a litigator who focuses his practice on resolving business disputes, concentrating on contracts, trade secrets, and real estate litigation. He has successfully represented businesses in state and federal court in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Vermont, and Massachusetts.  Mr. Robinson also advises agribusiness ventures on a variety of industry issues. As a resident of Canandaigua, Mr. Robinson helps lead Boylan Code’s Canandaigua office.
Contracts
Enforceable contracts are the life-blood of any business, but when disputes arise Mr. Robinson helps businesses enforce their contractual expectations.  Mr. Robinson has successfully represented clients on a wide-range of contract disputes, including agreements for the lease of real property, sale of assets, performance of professional services, development and license of products, construction of buildings or assets, and conveyance of property and machinery.  Recently, Mr. Robinson successfully represented an international medical company against a $100+ million claim that it breached a licensing agreement for a medical implant device.
Real Estate
Mr. Robinson represents banks, public utilities, railroad companies and private landowners in a variety of property disputes, including fraudulent conveyance and foreclosure actions, easement enforcement, title claims and lease disputes.  Mr. Robinson also draws on his experience as the chairperson of his town’s Zoning Board of Appeals to represent clients in land use litigation and Article 78 Proceedings. Recently, Mr. Robinson successfully defended a national railway carrier from an attempt by a neighboring property owner to extinguish vital railway easements needed to provide commercial freight service to local businesses.
Trade Secrets
Mr. Robinson helps businesses protect their vital trade secrets, and defends them against restrictive claims by competitors.  He drafts policies and procedures that help businesses ensure that departing employees do not disclose or use their trade secrets.  When disputes do arise, he helps businesses avoid injunctions that would limit their ability to develop new products and compete in the marketplace, while simultaneously pursuing targeted discovery that vindicates their competitive practices.
Agribusiness
Mr. Robinson comes from a long line of fruit growers, and that background helps him advise agribusiness ventures throughout the Northeast on a variety of legal issues, including immigration compliance, marketing and distribution agreements, co-op agreements, price-fixing, feed contamination, farm management agreements, pesticide overspray, food labeling, and succession planning.
