I was referred to Allison by a friend who worked with her. I am so happy I decided to hire her. She was quick to respond to all my questions. She looked out for my best interests and recommended stuff that I didn't even know I was entitled too. She helped me reach an amicable divorce settlement. She is also very upfront with her fees and her rates are reasonable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a lawyer of the highest integrity.

I'm glad to say, I could not be more pleased with the professionalism, thorough and good organization of Allison while representing me with my divorce. I had set up a initial consult meeting with Allison when I was searching for a lawyer to represent me, then I read of an issue of Allison being reprimanded apparently for an action ( she actually reported herself to the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility). Whatever the case was, I understand we're all human, mistakes happen and I decided to proceed with our first meeting. After the initial meeting , I really felt she was who I wanted representing me, now I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. I felt her communication was very professional, but down the earth at the same time. If there was a concern I address that she did not have a clear answer, she used her resources to give me the right information. She did not miss a beat in getting all the details in order and finalizing my divorce efficiently. I will be happy you recommend her to friends and family!

Mrs, Maxim was my attorney in the Family Court. After strong disappointment with the attorneys in the St. Cloud (Stearn's County) area and by friends' advice and professional literature, I looked for an attorney from a metropolitan (Twin Cities) area. By the time of our work together, Mrs. Maxim was a member of a Minneapolis legal firm. I believe her closing argument made the Judge see through false sexual allegations and deliver a verdict, which provided equal parenting rights for me, considering that Stearn's County judges habitually deprive fathers with 75/25 verdict. In my conversations with Mrs. Maxim, I realized that her broader education and experience in the field of social work and related areas, as well as her versatile interests as well as her research skills aim greatly her performance as an attorney. After the Court's proceedings,I had contacted Mrs. Maxim for advice several times and Mrs. Maxim was always generous with her time and solid with her responses.

Allison Maxim has extensive experience in the Twin Cities metro area family courts, as well as in federal court. She is a wife, mother, and hard working business owner who understands the complexities of dissolving a relationship in the midst of a legal proceeding. She works hard to cooperatively settle all of her cases taking into account the unique situaion of each client. However, when there are issus that cannot be settled, Allison has the knowledge and experience to zealously advocate for her clients in court.

As a Volunteer Peer Support Attorney for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, Allison works with lawyers in Minnesota who are experiencing high levels of stress, which, at times, can lead to depression or chemical/alcohol abuse. In addition, Allison supports lawyers who are currently going through the lawyer disciplinary system in Minnesota.
In 2018, Allison established a social justice scholarship for college and graduate school students. The purpose of the scholarship, granted twice per year, is to acknowledge students interested in pursuing fields of study leading to expanding and enhancing social justice in our nation.
