About

A graduate of Lackawanna High in 1989 and Canisus College in 1993 where I earned a dual major in Policial Science (B.A.) and Sociology (B.A.), as well as a certificate in Criminal Justice (A.A.).  I then attended the University of Toledo, College of Law, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1996.
Following graduation from Law School, I sucessfully passed the Michigan Bar and began my practice in Monroe County, just south of Detroit.  There, I worked my way up to partner at the firm of VanWasshenova, Wisher and Yorkey, LLC (later named Wisher & Yorkey, LLP), where my prminary focus was in Criminal Defense, Bankruptcy, Family Law, Juvenile Deliquency, Trusts and Estates, and Real Estate.  However, seizing the opporunity to work at a larger firm, I was hired and later became partner at the firm of Grenn & Wisher, LLP, establishing the Bankruptcy Services of Monore County, where I was the lead attorney, filing several hundred Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases per year.  I simultaneously maintained my practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law and Real Estate.  In additonal to being licensed by the State Bar of Michigan, I was also admitted to practice in the District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (Bankruptcy), and was a member of the Monore County Bar Association, as well as the cooperating attorney with the United Auto Workers for Bankruptcy, Divorce and Criminal Defense.
After the birth of my first son, I relocated to the Western New York area and was hired by the firm of Kelly & Swetz, LLP, where my main focus was on real estate transactions, representing buyers, sellers, and lenders.  I sucessfully closed hundreds of real estate transactions per year.  However, desiring to get back to all areas of the law and litigation, I changed job opportunities and became a member of the Law Offices of Randy Gugino.  There, I grew the Bankruptcy practice offered by the firm and additonally handled divorce and family court, criminal defense and trust and estate cases.
After learning and honing my legal skills in two states, over 14 years, in 2009 I decided to open my own law firm and have been sucessfully handling Bankruptcy, Divorce and Family Court matters, Real Estate transactions, criminal defense, and trusts and estate planning ever since.  I am a member of the the New York State Bar, as well as the Erie County Bar Association, licensed to practice at the local, states and federal level in the Western District of New York.
During my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family and am a huge Sabres and Bills fan, as well as an avid runner.  A little known fact about me is my love for History, both the classics of Roman and Greek history as well as a huge history buff regarding the American Revolution.  I also enjoy weight lifting, reading, and gardening.
DISCLAIMER: My firm is in the business to help people and companies (debtors and creditors alike) obtain protection and provide services offered by and under the bankruptcy law, code and rules and to navigate the extremely complicated process of bankruptcy. As we provide and assist people to file for relief under the Bankruptcy Code, we are considered a debt relief agency. 11 U.S.C. Sec. 528
