My Friend fell upon hard times and was served for Unlawful Detainer. I came across David Burger's listing online and called up. Katrina Smallwood, one of his Paralegals educated me on her rights and instantly turned her life around for the better! She was knowledgable and very, very helpful. We would definitely recommend this Law Firm!

I called this office on June 6 and was directed for some reason to a paralegal named Katrina Peach. I explained her the urgency of my situation about serving my Tenant with a default notice. To which she responded that if I retain the office today and pay $1000 flat fee, that she will personally serve my Tenant tonight after work in order not to lose time and send out a certified letter to him also today, i.e. On June 6th. So, I retained the office, explained that there is only one tenant and was again assured that she will serve him the same day. So, when I call the office to follow up on June 9, Katrina never responded and I find out that she has neither personally served my Tenant with the Default Letter as she herself suggested, nor did she send the certified letter on that day!!! I further find out from their lawyer - Rachael Hammer - that the amount of owned rent is wrong on her draft letter (I sent her my Notice with the correct amount prior) and that she supposedly prepared it for another non-existent tenant. Even Rachael Hammer herself suggested a full refund and assured me that she will process it immediately that day, on June9th. I am yet to receive my money back. They were quick to charge it and it took less than 5 minutes to do it. Let's see how "fast" the refund process be??? All messed up from the very beginning. Unprofessional. Unresponsive. Not knowledgable.

I have had the extreme pleasure of working with David on several different occasions. He and his team have conducted, both, residential and commercial closings for me, personally, as well as, several of my colleagues. His work is clean, accurate, and timely. Along with his attention to customer service, David's commitment to his business partners is admirable. I would highly recommend using David as an attorney and/or as a settlement/title agent.

As a Virginia real estate broker I rely on attorneys to get the job I need done quickly. Whether that's title work, lease negotiation, contract issues, etc… David is responsive via email, easy to work with, and gets the job done quick. To all the Realtors out there, get in touch with David to get it done! I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

It has been a phenomenal experience to work with David at Mason Title. He sets his company apart from other settlement agencies in the area in many different ways. He has worked with me and my clients personally, as well as, several of my colleagues at M&T. His work is accurate and timely. I would highly recommend using Mason Title for settlements and/or title work and would highly recommend the Herndon Law firm for legal advice.

About

I grew up in Potomac, Maryland, where I attended Churchill H.S. and played both football and basketball. I attended the University of Vermont where I graduated with an English degree with minor studies in Philosophy and Religion.
After college, I lived abroad; in Taiwan, I started and ran a magazine that served as an educational and entertainment guide to the island. Then I lived in Thailand where I ran Survival Trekking in Chiang Mai, taking intrepid tourists on multi-day "survival treks" through the mountains and jungles of Northern Thailand.
Upon my return, I entered the real estate business and have been involved in title insurance and settlement services throughout Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. for over 10 years now.
I graduated from the George Mason School of Law. I focused my studies on Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Wills, Trusts & Estates law. I am now licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. My practice covers most areas of civil law and litigation.
I am also the owner of DB Title, LLC, a residential and commercial title insurance and settlement company.
