About

From the start of his legal career, Gabriel Foster has established himself as a client-focused advocate who works diligently to ensure his clients are represented to the fullest. He learned early on that communication, strategic planning, persistence, and attention to detail are foundational blocks for any successful law practice. He brings this perspective to his Vancouver, Washington practice in family law with a focus on divorce.
Before joining McKean Smith, Gabe worked at a general practice firm in family law, landlord-tenant law, and personal injury. Through this experience, he is able to better approach complex family law cases in his current practice.
While in law school, he represented at-risk youth and college students on a wide variety of legal issues and taught high school classes on law and society.
Gabe grew up locally in Vancouver and is an active member of the community. Outside of work, he teaches night classes on law at Clark College and is a board member for the YMCA of Clark County. He is also a content Editor for the ABA Young Lawyer Division’s Access to Legal Services Committee. “As lawyers, we should recognize the position we’re in and be intentional about helping to grow our community in positive ways,” he says.
He most enjoys spending time with family, reading, basketball, and exploring the Pacific Northwest’s great outdoors.
