His mediation style is backed with data and industry analytics to help his married clients see differences in each other in the process of sorting out a business agreement.   I was introduced through a mutual friend to Hass. I needed to hire a lawyer to extradite myself from a partnership dispute between the two partners in a real estate firm, where I was not a party to the lawsuit between partners, but none the less found myself stuck in the middle. Hass is the best strategist and mediator I have met. We went over the different scenarios on how to best remove myself from the situation. Hass picks up on body language, tone and eye contact and guided me to figure out how I wanted to resolve the situation. He thinks deeper than others, analyzes the individuals involved psychologically and, most importantly, tell you how he feels whether you might like the answer or not.   Hass is one of the most insightful and intelligent people I've met in a very long time.   Hass is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) and was the Conference Chair for the 27th Annual SCMA Conference: Conflict Revolution: Mediators as Agents of Social Change, which took place in November 2015. That was the first SCMA conference I had ever attended and it was fantastic. Hass solicited requests for proposals from individuals whom he felt would add significant value to the conference in advance of the publication of the request for proposals. As a result, he was able to put together an amazing and very valuable line-up of programs for all levels. In fact, the programs were so well-received that SCMA had the panelists for several programs repeat them for those who were either unable to attend the conference or were unable to attend those particular programs at the conference because of scheduling conflicts with other programs. I was honored that Hass reached out to me and requested that I submit a proposal because I otherwise would not have done so. He not only requested a submission, but encouraged me to submit on LGBT civil rights issues. I followed his lead, put together an amazing panel and we presented at the conference. I am pleased to say that ours was one of the programs that was repeated earlier this year. I can't thank Hass enough for reaching out to me, encouraging me to submit a proposal on a topic I otherwise may not have considered, and for putting together an incredible conference.
