I had the honor of training Jim to be an LSAT instructor at Kaplan. Jim brought a blend of a strong intellect and excellent presentation skills. From the very first week, Jim went above and beyond what was required of him. We had an issue with the security alarm after having concluded training one evening, and he stayed well past when he was required to help us resolve it and make sure was everything was okay before he left. This was the first time of many that Jim surpassed what we expected of, and any future employer will be lucky to have him.

James Christopher Sproat (Jim) is an Associate Attorney with the Hawkins Law Firm. Mr. Sproat received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina in 2008 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2011. While at the University of Cincinnati, Mr. Sproat served as both the Student Bar Association President and the Managing Editor of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review. He was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in 2011, after working with both the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the South Carolina Court of Appeals during school.
Mr. Sproat honed his advocacy skills during his time practicing primarily Construction and Business litigation before shifting his focus to Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation that he continues to practice today.
