I am an attorney at the E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy law firm. Armed with behind-the-scenes experience from my federal district court and state appellate court clerkships, I am skilled in civil, criminal, and trial procedure.
I primarily practice criminal defense before local town courts, County courts, and federally at the Northern District of New York. I also defend students in Title IX sexual misconduct proceedings and student disciplinary proceedings at colleges and universities across New York State. In addition, I represent plaintiffs in civil rights lawsuits to vindicate their constitutional rights in excessive force, unlawful arrest and imprisonment, unlawful search and seizure, malicious prosecution, and unlawful racial, sexual, religious, or national origin discrimination cases.
I am attentive to my clients’ needs and I approach legal issues with pragmatism and common sense, combined with my technical proficiency on the law. I previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gary L. Sharpe at the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York and as a Central Staff Court Attorney at the New York State Court of Appeals. While at the Court of Appeals, I also served as a temporary law clerk to Judge Leslie E. Stein during her transition to the bench in early 2015.
