About

I am an associate in Barley Snyder’s Real Estate Law group. My practice is focused on facilitating all aspects of real estate transactions. I have represented both buyers and sellers at all stages of commercial property transactions, from drafting the initial agreements to closing. During the due diligence phase, I regularly advise clients on title matters, including reviewing title commitments and title searches prior to closing.  I have also reviewed and drafted lease agreements on behalf of landlords and tenants.
I take a practical and efficient approach to counseling clients in their real estate matters.  Each real estate transaction requires a detailed and precise understanding of key deadlines and deliverables, as well as the client's goals. I often advise clients on not only the legal documents pertaining to a particular transaction, but also the regulatory and compliance requirements as well. My experience in interpreting zoning ordinances and state statutes has allowed me to help landowners navigate the complex permitting requirements for land development projects. In that capacity, I have successfully presented zoning relief requests before local townships.  Additionally, I have counseled clients on various property tax assessment and exemption issues.  I obtained my J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While at IU, I served as an editor on the Indiana Law Journal, as well as drafted and interpreted conservation easements and covenants at the School’s Conservation Law Center. Prior to joining Barley Snyder, I was an attorney with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General in the Public Protection Division, where I litigated complex public utility regulatory issues including base rate cases and quality of service cases involving Pennsylvania water, gas, telephone, and electric companies.
