About

Scott graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a degree in Government. While at UT, Scott was a member of the Men’s Track and Field team and he remains a member of the University of Texas Athletics “T”-Association.   Scott received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2006. During Law School, Scott interned at British Telecom in London,  working mainly on International Corporate Transactions and Litigation.
After law school, Scott joined an Oil & Gas Land Service Company out of Fort Worth, TX,  where he managed numerous projects throughout Texas and Louisiana and gained valuable legal experience overseeing the settlement of a number of Oil and Gas lawsuits in the Haynesville Shale. In 2010, Scott began writing Title Opinions for a nationwide Oil and Gas law firm based in Dallas. He quickly advanced and was soon managing a team of 15 attorneys.
In November 2010, Scott and his business partner, Jeff Crook, launched what is now known as Orange Energy Corporation, a fully integrated land services provider  operating throughout the United States, with a client base that includes several Fortune 500 Oil and Gas companies drilling in the United States.
In October 2011, Scott founded Beckmen, Cherkassky, Dean & Associates, PLLC (BCDA Law) to address the legal needs of Orange’s clients. Over the next three years, under Scott’s guidance as Managing Partner, BCDA Law established itself as one of the leaders in Oil and Gas Law by providing its clients with cost-effective legal work that is comprehensive and efficient.
In August 2014, BCDA Law merged into Beckmen Law, P.C. and is focusing on broadening its reach to include Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Estates & Trusts, and Corporate Law. Equally important, Beckmen Law is expanding its foothold by building off its established Oil and Gas base to provide guidance in Regulatory, Litigation and Transactional Energy legal matters.
