  I took two law classes with Thomas: Secured Transactions and a Tax LLM course in Property Dispositions. Thomas was skillful at solving problems and navigating statutes.   As I studied toward my J.D. and my LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Washington School of Law, I had many classes with Thomas. I have always been impressed with his enthusiasm and diligence for all the material we were studying. The material was complex and often overwhelming to others, but Thomas always kept a cool head and an upbeat demeanor. He went out of his way to help his classmates in study sessions, even as he took on more credits per quarter than anyone I know. Thomas is also easy to talk to even for those who are not "tax geeks" as he has varied interests outside of the world of tax and law -- such as being a past ski instructor and being a dedicated dad to his baby son. Any law office would be very lucky to have Thomas on the team.
