For more than 30 years, my legal staff and I have represented bankers and janitors, multi-millionaires and minimum wage workers. We have represented CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, HR Directors, Physicians, Medical Device Professionals, Hospital Administrators, Senior Management and many others from Fortune 500 Companies since the late 1980s. We have represented our clients in State and Federal courts throughout Florida.  We have represented clients not only from Jacksonville, but also clients from Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Key West, Middleburg, Lake City, and other towns and cities in Florida and throughout the Southeast.
I moved to Jacksonville after graduating from the UF School of Law in 1981 and began my legal career working for a large law firm which represented  Fortune 500 corporations.  That experience led me to start my own firm in 1985, representing employees who have been discriminated against on the job and wrongfully terminated.   I have been representing mostly employees  since 1985.  We also occasionally represent personal injury clients.
With regard to our employment law clients, we initially have them complete an  intake form which I designed so that we can quickly determine whether there is a legal issue that we may be able to assist them with.  If so, we schedule an appointment to meet with them. There is a fee for one hour of my time for the initial one-hour meeting.  If there appears to be a winnable case, we will discuss the best way to handle the case going forward, with regard to attorneys' fees and expenses.  Typically, we require a retainer and require that the client pay his or her own expenses going forward.  The retainer covers a small portion of our fees with the balance being contingent on our making a recovery on your behalf, on a contingent fee basis.  These terms can be discussed during or after the initial consultation, once I know more about your particular circumstances.
We never take on more than a handful of clients at any given time because we don't want to compromise the quality of care that we provide on behalf of each of our clients.  I am personally involved in and responsible for all our cases, from start to finish.  All of these matters are explained in greater detail on our firm's website at: www.FortuneLegal.com.
Our office is located on A1A (also called "3rd Street"), between Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard, near A1A's intersection with 17th Avenue North, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
