I have greatly appreciated the support Teresita Varela was able to provide during my divorce. As a father of four children I was not confident that primary custody would be achievable, however with Teresita's help it was! Teresita has been approachable, flexible, insightful, and professional.

I unfortunately have had an adversarial relationship with my ex wife for the past 7 years. Most recently, she filed court paperwork charging me with harassment. Rather than try and fight the claim on my own, I sought out legal counsel and a family friend referred me to Teresita. Going to court, I'm glad Teresita was on my side! She had very clean, clear, and structured arguments, refuting claims from the other party (my ex). The harassment claim was dismissed. Thank you Teresita!

I was born in New York, New York and raised in Central Florida. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Hodges University in Naples, Florida and my Juris Doctorate degree from the Gonzaga University School of Law.
I have provided a wide range of legal services to my clients since 2012, including federal tax assistance, criminal defense, estate planning, and family law. My experience includes providing Indian law expertise and tribal jurisdiction analysis for federal clients including the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
I began my legal career as a legal researcher for Kauffman & Associates, Inc. in Spokane, Washington. Thereafter, I opened my own law practice dedicated to family law and criminal defense prior to becoming a Tri-Cities Attorney.
