About

I have been practicing law since 1994. I began my career as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for the 81st Judicial District Attorney's Office. As an ADA I was responsible for the prosecution of all felony violations in Frio and LaSalle County. It included the prosecution of murders, aggravated assaults, drug cases, and driving while intoxicated cases to name a few of the types of cases that I handled. In April 2000, I began working as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, designated to the prosecution of federal drug violations. In September 2001, I became an Assistant United States Attorney responsible for the prosecution of all federal violations in the Lufkin Division of the Eastern District of Texas. I prosecuted numerous types of drug violations, white collar violations and immigration violations. I also prosecuted violent crimes to include gun violations, bank robberies, and gang cases.
