Tony Ramsey is a lawyer in the Trusts & Estates and Taxation practice groups at Karr Tuttle Campbell. Tony works with individuals and families to meet their estate planning goals. He focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, guardianships, and taxation. Tony also has experience advising tax-exempt organizations on legal issues related to formation, corporate governance, and qualification for and maintenance of tax-exempt status.
Tony currently serves as an adjunct professor with the Graduate Program in Taxation at the University of Washington School of Law. He is actively involved with the Legislative Committee of the Washington State Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and serves as a contributing content editor for the Estate Planning Chapter of the Washington Lawyer's Practice Manual.
Tony maintains an active pro bono practice, including advising tax-exempt organizations and representing low-income guardianship petitioners.
During law school, Tony was a summer associate for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation supporting the legal team in providing guidance across a variety of areas including tax, transactional, employment, and operations. He also served as a student attorney with the UW Federal Tax Clinic where he assisted individuals in resolving disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and represented multiple nonprofit clients.
