John Michael Guevara is an Associate at Livelihood Law, LLC where he practices plaintiff-side employment law to protect the civil rights of employees. He seeks to help employees combat wage theft, safeguard their right to work in an environment free from workplace discrimination and harassment, and ensure that employees are substantially compensated when their civil rights are violated.

Mr. Guevara joined the Livelihood Law team after three years of practicing commercial litigation at the Denver Office of Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP. He received his JD from the University of Colorado Law School where he served on the board of the Latino Law Student Association, participated in moot court, and was a Casenote and Comment Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review. A Texas native, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Guevara is licensed to practice in Colorado’s State and Federal Courts. He is a current member of the Colorado Plaintiffs Employment Lawyers Association, Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, and is serving as Secretary of the Civil Rights Section to the Colorado Bar Association. He is also a mentor for Law School: Yes We Can, an organization that assists first generation and diverse undergraduate students with their pursuit of becoming lawyers.
